For the last 2 weeks, I have been experimenting with spherical panorama, a common technique in 3D modeling for creating skydomes. By texturing a sphere with a single image, we can create an animation background that can be rotated in 360 degrees.

This technique not only gives my film a distinct look but also allows me to incorporate camera movements that are difficult in traditional 2D animation production, such as POV shots. With this technique, I can create an immersive photomontage environment while saving my production time for generating background images for different viewing angles.
My next goal is to revise my animatic so I can take a full advantage of spherical panorama technique. Especially in the scene 2 where Kana is riding on the train, I can use the technique for creating smooth transition between multiple shots.
